Horton: Okay a€“ and I know that you haven’t published this yet, but you have a new interview with a former THEM guy stationed in Pakistan (ed: actually, he was the THEM expert in Pakistan’s nuclear program, Richard Barlow) who’s told you that the THEM and the American Government knew all about AQ Khan all along a€“ is that right?
Ryland: Correct a€“ they knew from 1976 when Khan first stole the blueprints in Holland. It’s problematic, right a€“ but if you look at Sibel’s case they see exactly the same thing a€“ they have companies like Giza supplying the network, and nobody does anything. And they have also other Turkish companies who are major members of the ATC who are literally manufacturing components for AQ Khan and sending them either to Pakistan or to Dubai for repackaging so that they can skirt the import restrictions and re-export them.
